Pool skating as an exhibition at Maloof Money Cup

As I understand it, the street course is going to be made out of concrete (I assume they will use brick and other materials to make it as street real as well). At the end of the contest (Fair) the course is going to be demolished since the facility is the fair grounds. Anyway's when getting into building a competition sized street course it would probably cost around $300,000+ add in a World Class Vert Ramp at about $150,000 or more.

I think that Maloof's would do well to add a 2,000 square foot pool for top pool riders to come in and show what also goes on in between Vert and Street. I know it would be a crowd pleaser to see a backyard type session go down.

It would make for a nice thing to see and not have to be a contest format for that..I know that World Cup Skateboarding would be down for having a good bowl to skate while they get a break from there contest duties....maybe they could hook up a bar-b-que by the pool and show another side of skateboarding.

I a fully into supporting/promoting all kinds of skateboarding, I just feel pool/bowl skateboarding needs to be seen sooner than later!

What do you think?

I agree, I like to watch the pool/bowl skating. It flows smoothly and the guys seem to like chillin in the bowl. do we know if they are even considering having it??

Thats a sick idea to be sure. I also like the idea of having a place for more of a session/hangout for the riders than the pressures of contest. In light of all the costs for other ramps, a little kidney pool would hardly be a buck out of pocket. Admitedly though, a bowl contest would be a SICK addition to the whole thing.
